organix shampoo reviewsOrganix shampoo products are all 100% sulfate free and use a special formula that delivers vitamins and antioxidants to the cells of your hair to provide shine, moisture and softness. This formulation contains the infamous Morrocan Oil which specializes in repairing hair that has been damaged via heat treatment, UV light, processing and coloring.

Unfortunately, all Organix sulfate free shampoos are not truly “organic”. A little misleading, right? But not to be mistaken, Organix shampoo produced one of the richest lathers compared to the other sulfate free products that were tested.

Why is this? Is it because they snuck a sulfate into the formulation? Not quite. Organix Moroccan Argan Oil is in fact 100% sulfate free but uses other surfactant ingredients such as disodium laureth sulfosuccinate to produce the lather we all adore.

Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate (DLS)

Contrary to the “sulfo” in its name, DLS is NOT a sulfate. Instead, it is a surfactant that is derived from coconut oil and was specifically made to be a less irritating cleansing agent compared to sodium laureth sulfate (SLS). And although it originates from coconut oil, this ingredient is not considered organic.

The molecular structure of DLS is larger than SLS and therefore does not penetrate the skin and causes less irritation. Unlike sulfates, the head of the molecule is substituted with a safer ester group, thus making it sulfate free.

Most Suitable For:

  • Oily hair
  • Thin/fine hair
  • Wavy hair
  • Daily usage

Pros:

  • Rich lather
  • Enhances shine
  • Gentle
  • Great scent
  • Delivers nutrients to improve hair health
  • Paraben free

Cons:

  • Some of our testers commented that it slightly dried their hair out. As a result, we recommend you to use a sulfate free conditioner in combination with all Organix shampoo products. The combo pack shown above contains one 13 oz conditioner bottle that perfectly supplements the shampoo.

 How to Use Organix Shampoo

  1. Apply a small amount of Organix shampoo to your palm, rub it together, and massage it through damp or towel dried hair, working from the scalp to the ends.
  2. After rinsing, apply a small account of sulfate free conditioner to prevent any drying effects.
  3. The combo pack comes with the Organix Penetrating Oil which helps the shampoo to control frizz and strengthen brittle, dry hair. This can be applied twice a week in the same manner as the conditioner.

What Customers Are Saying About Organix Shampoo

Nina L – Organix is an AMAZING line!

I have A LOT of fine, wavy hair and have experimented with several higher quality sulfate free products. With all of my previous shampoos, after washing my hair, it would become a tangled mess, even after brushing my hair beforehand! Putting a comb through it afterwards was near impossible. And my hair is not naturally dry! The combination of shampoo and fine hair always seemed to produce these unmanageable knots.

My friend has the same hair type as myself and recommended this shampoo. It has worked amazingly! Now after shampooing, it doesn’t become a knotted jungle. And on top of that, I use way less conditioner than before.

Anyhow, I have nothing to criticize about this product. The scent is light and enjoyable, it’s relatively cheap and the shampoo itself works wonders!

 Conclusion

Although their products are not necessarily organic, Organix shampoo is an inexpensive product that adds shine and enhances hair health in addition to providing great lather. Many customers have been satisfied with the Organix line. Try it and tell us what you think!
